Something for the Little Boys

How was your weekend?

I spent my Saturday in the village at my grandma’s farm in Gilgil, for a family gathering.

You asked for something for the little boys , and I was listening. Here it is. I hope you like it !

I haven’t managed to spend as much time as I hoped I would with my nephew this school holiday. So this outfit is pretty much all I managed to do for him.

This is his first ankara outfit and what better place to wear it than at this family occasion.

Steve, is my elder brother Brian’s 5-year old son. And now a very protective cousin to Nielsine. He takes the ‘big cousin’ title with pride. No one can touch her without using hand sanitizer for example …. lol

I love the shirt so much ! So proud of the result. Check it out!

My maxi dress is from Steve’s Collection in Bishan Plaza, Westlands.

There was a light drizzle at some point. Beautiful day never the less.

I like this design and I think I want to make a dress in this similar style and give it a little twist.

I also adore the mandarin collar on the dress

My grandma said it was very fashionable. :)

We had fun playing in the maize fields when the sun came out again.

IMG_6944Nielsine stayed back in a warmer Nairobi. Here is a picture of her with my small bro Ian.

While in Europe, last Christmas, I found that H&M had cute affordable quality baby stuff and maternity clothes. Her outfit is by H&M.

I wish you a great start to the week.

    Silvia…. Aaahhhhh… I was looking for a DIY tutorial because boys….

I LOVE your maxi its very vintage and your grandma is right.. Old is gold.

I have a son and I can pomise you they have the most expensive clothing(if you manage to find the right size). They are all the same and for a creative mother like myself its tad boring to walk with my son and see all lil boys with the same outfit. That said, I will try google patterns.. and *try

    Thanks you.

Fantastic! You can also thrift clothes, undo them and use them as pattern pieces. Its true, girls have more to chose from, have fun. And thank you, this dress is one of my fave maxi :)
