It’s been a while since my last kikoy series post
I promised to make some shorts, but I felt that Mothers Day was a welcome opportunity to dress her up in a new dress, which I made using more or less the same cut and design as I did for her birthday dress. I really love this cut
Simple cut that provides for the easy, unpretentious wear, which suits a little girl of her age.
The cotton fabric is light and pleasant to wear, particularly at summer temperatures. It is very affordable and it washes extremely well. I have year-old kikoys which have been washed many, many times, and they just get softer and nicer over time, without shrinking and without losing their brilliant colours.
As I continue my kikoy journey, I will share with you my ideas on how to using them to your optimum advantage in cute and funky clothes for my little girl.
We spent mother’s day at home with my little one dressed her up in her new kikoy dress, ate some of our fave food and played in the garden.
She is learning to speak! Saying all sorts of random stuff, but what really warms and melts my heart is when she says ‘mama’ 🙂 also getting better at walking and she is really excited about that.
Mother’s day was the perfect day for me to stay at home over a nice lunch and a glass of wine, plus I got gifts and flowers too … add that to my birthday and xmas and I have a perfect year full of surprises! yaay !
I hope you had a good mother’s day, whether you were celebrating your mom, remembering your mama , or being celebrated. I hope it was fantastic !
Love
Silvia
