My Lagos Fashion Week 2017 Style Diary

lagos fashion week 2017

I’m just back from Nigeria where I spent some exciting days at the Lagos Fashion and Design Week (LFDW) and savored the amazing Nigerian fashion culture.  I also had the unique opportunity to work closely with some of the fashion and beauty professionals I have been admiring on the social media platforms from home.

I had decided from the outset only to wear Nigerian brands as part of my networking process. So I didn’t bring much with me from Kenya but simply played it by ear. Local designers were also keen to dress me and I happily accepted their offers.

On day 1 I wore Grey.  It was a last minute pick but I loved the way it matched my day 1 mood! I wanted something bright and colorful to start my Lagos fashion journey.

On day 2 I wore this beaded gown from Iconic invanity to celebrate their SS18 collection which was showcased that night, and it was duly admired.

On Day 3 I wanted to be a bit extra; fashion week vibes were hitting hard and I needed something slightly over the top but still subtle and true to my style. This outfit by ziistudios was my choice and it d

id me perfect service. It is a piece from this collection that I wore in Ghana.

On day 4 As you probably know, I like classic pieces that have been given an edgy vibe and this is true for this jumpsuit by Egoma Duekwe by Zinkata
