[su_column size=”1/3″]As time goes by I am becoming more and more aware that, being the creative person I am, my motivation to give my best in each and every aspect of my life stems from what inspires me. Like all of us, I go through periods of higher or lower inspiration and I have clearly noticed how this influences my creativity.
And this past month, I was burnt out… I felt I was on the rocks and lacking the enthusiasm to move on with new initiatives. The interesting thing is that often you don’t even realize that a certain aspect of your life fails to inspire you, but in a flash you discover which spark could rekindle that flame which will let you shine so much brighter. This past month has repeatedly blessed me with such insights. Moving out of my old apartment in Nairobi and cleaning out my closet was such a great inspiration to me. Working on my new flat has been both therapeutic and inspirational. My blog also failed to inspire me -not the content, but the way it was presented. I felt that it needed a serious makeover in order to offer me an overall environment which would inspire me. And so I revamped it! [/su_column]
[su_column size=”1/3″] The result is what you are enjoying today, although it’s still very much work in progress. I relish the sensation of presenting something which I can truly be proud of. And this was only one month of new inspirations, which have already had a major positive impact on my life and how I go about sharing my world. And strong testimonies to my conviction that you can only be inspired to create the best if your heart is in it. Which brings me back to my point at the beginning of this story, that inspiration sometimes comes to me when I create an environment for myself which allows my inspirational juices to flow. I would not be surprised if this would work for you as well. But since we are all different, I would like to share with you few tips which might help you on your way to an inspired life. First of all, It is a good idea to go back in time to remember what made you happy earlier in your life or try to analyze what it is in your present situation that prevents you from soaring. [su_column size=”1/3″]
Have a closer look at your milestones and take pride in how far you have come. I highly recommend taking a break from what fails to inspire you, and consider it a beneficial breathing space which will allow you to come back with fresh enthusiasm and new inspired ideas of how to take your life to the next level. And never underestimate the power of prayer. The Lord knows where you need to go and will show you the way. Staying inspired is a lifelong journey, and sometimes the best way to be inspired is by being an inspiration to others.
On this note let me wish you all a happy and inspired week. Thank you also for being such a great inspiration to me, because you definitely are.
One Love

I’ve followed your blog for a while now. The snippets of your life that you share with the world is very brave and encouraging. You know what “being out there” can expose one to. Somehow it feels like I know you. You doing something you totally are in love with and passionate about is truly inspiring. You are doing a good job at being “happy” and am glad to learn a bit more of that from you.

Hey Silvia
I honestly think you are one of the most real and stylish people EVER!
I really like the new picture layout, but I’m not a fan of the column-style of the text layout. I find it harder to read. That’s just some feedback from me.
Otherwise, just keep doing you because you are perfect at it.
Xx
The fact that you are among the few bloggers who actually take time out
to respond to their readers is a beautiful show of humility and
appreciation. I love your new blog interface…UNIQUE!!! Belated
congratulations on your BAKE awards…. and once more, I just love how
candid you are …love from South Africa 🙂
Its always amazing discovering my readers across the world…. Mondays are days when I open up about more personal stuff, (away from the usual outfit posts) whether fashion related or not. And I am glad you like it.
Thank you for the support.
The text layout is also problematic for me, but all in all i love the new look esp the photos!
It will take a bit of getting used to. I hope you warm up to it. Meanwhile, enjoy the pictures 🙂
