Last week I did a photo shoot wearing a tye and dye shirt dress and these gladiator boots, which I love. However, I feel it is always nice to show an outfit in the context of where I wear it, so when I went to the Koroga festival and had some pics taken of me in this same outfit. It’s not always possible to do this, but this is how I would love for it to be, That I show you – my readers, the outfit as worn at the actual event.
You can see more pictures of the event here
Style note
With knee or thigh gladiators, let the shoe be the focus. Pair them with an over-the-knee outfit, in pieces that have simple colors, prints or design.
Today I am leaving for Tsavo East National Park for a short safari to celebrate the 2 years birthday of my daughter Nielsine tomorrow. She really loved the experience of staying at the Kilaguni Serena Lodge in Tsavo West last year, and having close encounters with the wild animals she knows from her books.
Last yearr for her first birthday we had a small party with her toys and the staff here at home, check out the dress I made for her and pictures from her birthday here. My choice this year was to do something she really loves.
We shall be staying at the Satao Camp and I am so excited to show her the wildlife and let her have her very first experience of living in a tent for three days, where you can really appreciate the smells and the sounds of the savanna. With a bit of luck we should be able to hear the lions growling and maybe see one !
I am sure there will be plenty of experiences and pics to share with you when we return home during the weekend.
