My Tecno SPARK 5 Review

In today’s digital world our smart-phones are not only essential gadgets, but for most people including myself my phone is virtually an integral part of my identity.  I depend on it for so many aspects of my daily life and it is rarely more than an arm’s length away from me.

When Tecno’s new Spark 5 hit the Kenya market I was one of the first to lay hands on it and super eager to make it my friend and learn all about how we could build a perfect relationship.

Just unboxing it was a sheer pleasure in itself.  I loved the sleek, elegant look of it as well as the feel of it in my hand and could not wait to load my first images on its crystal clear 6.6 inch LCD touch screen with its 720 x 1600 pixels display.

I am not much of a wizard when it comes to the technical specs of a phone – I judge it more on its day to day functionality – but the Android 10.0 with a 6.1 HIOS operating system, a 2 GB RAM and a 32 GB internal storage has been so far adequate for my daily needs.

However what has stood out to me is it’s exceptionally long-life 5000mAh. Battery which allows you up to 16 hours of calling, 8 hours of camera usage, 16 hours of music, and 14 hours of both video playing or internet browsing. Is something I will truly appreciate – especially when once again I shall be on the run after Covid-19.

True to the latest trend the phone comes with multiple cameras I have mostly been using the 8MP front camera, to take everyday photo pictures as I go.

While Playing around with it my daughter quickly discovered that it came with a lot of pre-installed games  which she had been enjoying.

The cost of the tecno spark 5 is currently  Kshs 13,500  !  a great offer for the quality and functionality it is offering. Try it out and let’s compare notes.
