Yesterday was a hot day by Nairobi standards, so I wore a light outfit.
The blue vest maxi dress is very basic. I don’t think plain figure-hugging maxi dresses are very flattering on me, so adding accessories has always been my thing with them. One of my favorite way of accessorizing, is by wearing a ‘detachable peplum skirt’ as I did here and here . For this Peplum DIY I use a mini mini leather skirt made for a size 6 girl, Cinched with a tye belt (or any belt for that matter)
I tend to lean towards faux leather ones as I love the difference in fabric textures, but really, any fabric would do.
Subtle color blocking in all its uncomplicated boldness, somehow makes this outfit sparkle. So, don’t ever shy away from combining bold colours now and then.
Enjoy your weekend!
