I fell totally in love with Bali during my first visit to this amazing island in July this year, and swore that I would go back as soon as I could. Wishes do come true and I was thrilled to be able to include a second visit in my November 2018 itinerary.
One of the things that makes Bali so special is the combination of so many enjoyable venues and experiences and my first stop, the Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, is a perfect epitome of this. A modern architecture which blends perfectly with the lush greenery of its gardens, a succession of shimmering pools leading down to the sparkling sandy beach and the blue ocean, exquisite interior decoration everywhere and mouthwatering dining experiences covering all major international and national cuisines.
True to the name of the resort, the welcome drink served at the hotel’s reception was an indigo cocktail. The lobby is an instagrammers dream come true with a picture perfect corner wherever you look. Check out these cool bikes !
From there my friend and I were ushered to our comfortable room. That the furnishing and technology installations – including a state of the art espresso machine – were of five star quality goes without saying, but what really impressed me was the tasteful overall aesthetics of the room decorations with a discrete Balinese touch.
It was tempting to stay and relax just wrapped in the comfy and fashionable kimono inspired bathrobe, but it wasn’t long before I stepped outside to explore this little paradise, chilled at the pool side and eventually ended up for a sundowner drink at the beach bar where we enjoyed the most beautiful sunset
Normally I love lazy mornings in bed, but next morning I was up at the crack of dawn to enjoy a refreshing dip in the mysterious secret garden pool which is reserved for adults while children are being spoilt by a dedicated kids water experience closer to the main pool area. What better way to start this glorious day dedicated to celebrating the birthday of my friend who then joined me for an amazing breakfast.
The hotel is a fairly recent development and if you love modern facilities in a jungle setting right on the beach this should be your resort of choice. Our wonderful stay came to an end far too quickly, but I remember with gratitude the efficient personalized service by the always smiling and attentive staff.
