Hey guys,
These past weeks have been a crazy time for me. Of course I am excited about having been nominated for not one but two prestigious BAKE awards, and as the end of voting (just this coming Thursday night) draws closer and the time of the outcome of the votes as well, I am somehow a bit nervous, relieved, excited but most of all thankful to have been nominated.
So if you have not yet cast your vote, please go to http://www.blogawards.co.ke/vote/ and vote for http://silvianjoki.com under the two categories for which I have been nominated: category 7 – Best Fashion/Beauty/Hair/Style Blog, and Category 18 – Kenyan Blog of The Year. Voting closes tomorrow night !
When I focus on the BAKE Award gala on Saturday night, one of my main concern for the night is obviously what to wear. And with this unpredictable Nairobi weather, The options are limited. One thing I can assure you though, is that my hair will be very dramatic, I’ve been wanting to have this particular style for a while, So it’s exciting to hear what you guys feel about it.
For this particular look, it was all about balancing the roughness of the jacket with the sporty top and girly skirt. So it was so cool when we could use a bicycle as a prop, and I tried to balance it in my heels

Tomorrow I will introduce a fun new project for the month of May here on the blog that I believe so many women will benefit from. Super excited so please check back tomorrow.
Style note
One of my favorite ways of wearing a sports mesh vest is by pairing it with a sports bra. It just completes the whole sporty look.
