I hope your year is off to an amazing start! I have decided to commence the year doing and learning fun stuff that I have always wanted to, and also improve my skills in some of them. I thought it would be cool to share these things with you.
1.LEARN MORE FRENCH
My recent visit to Geneva brought this wish to life again. Studying French both online and with a private teacher here at home will be one of my priority learning activities.
2. CAKE DECORATING
I love to cook and especially enjoy it together with my daughter Nielsine. Cup cake baking will be one of our joint efforts. I am very keen to learn cute, dainty and whimsical cup cake decorations like swirling whipped cream topping or sugar roses – hand modeling, icing… you get the idea.
3.OPERATE A MANUALLY TRANSMITTED CAR
I recently tried one for the first time since driving school but shifting gears and managing the pedal movements confused me, and I am determined to overcome this trivial problem as soon as possible.
4. PUBLIC SPEAKING
– I have done a number of TV interviews and even hosted a few shows over the years, and lately my fashion styling work as well as the increasing public awareness of my blogging activities have also brought me a number of invitations to contribute to meetings and seminars as an inspirational speaker, which I have accepted with pleasure. Although it all in all went quite well, these experiences have made me aware that I could do even better in the future with a bit of mentoring and professional training in public speaking.
5. WATER SPORTS
My life on the coast allows me to enjoy the pleasures of the ocean on a regular basis. Swimming and snorkelling is fun and I enjoy it, but I have now reached a point where I want to try more water sports.
6. HOW TO USE FINAL CUT PRO
As I am getting more and more involved in producing short videos for my vlog I need to up my game at the editing end of the process. So far I have been using iMovie, but I am determined to learn how to use Final Cut Pro which offers me more possibilities for creative editing, which is my aim for the coming months
7. LEARN BASIC HTML
To give me some degree of independence of external consultant support for the technical side of my blog, So I can manipulate and enhance simple blog layout and overall appearance of the site.
Well there you have it. It may look like quite a mouthful, but I feel convinced that with dedication and determination I can make at least some progress in all of these fields and I am looking forward to share my gradually improving skills with you as I move along my path of learning and growth. What are some of the things you want to learn?
