I remember the day we drove to Uluwatu, It was after a couple of nights of partying in Seminyak and we needed a quiet time away to recover from the fast life in Seminyak, catch up on work and just rest.
It’s very unlike me to visit a new town without prior research, but at this trip being my second in Bali – I was just going with the flow. I often find that second visits afford me more luxury and calmness; the second visit feels like coming back home. And so we headed to this little town of Uluwatu at the south of Bali.
We stayed at the Prasana by Arjani resort for two amazing nights. We were welcomed by some of the kindest staff we have ever met. The location is secluded and quiet, perched on an elevated plateau. Our private villa was luxurious, complete with an infinity pool with a lovely open area to soak up the Balinese sun. The resort has a free private shuttle for destinations within a 5km radius, but we only left once to catch a sunset at a beach restaurant nearby. The rest of the time was spent enjoying this beautiful space and savoring great food – including a floating breakfast, wine, music and a bath under the open sky.
Apart from their high level of cleanliness and the ever smiling staff who went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our needs were met, another highlight for me was the breakfasts – floating or not – which you could pre-order for delivery at any time. They were absolutely delicious, with a bit of everything to choose from. I kept saying to my travel partner and friend Debby that it was a perfect resort for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway just like it was for us as friends to bond.
My visit here was short and sweet, and it’s fair to say that I didn’t want to leave. But another adventure awaited me, Thank you Prasana for an enjoyable stay.
